Collins Compact Polish Dictionary

This is the dictionary that I carry EVERY day to assist with my studying (which I do on the train). Inevitably as it is a compact edition there are occasional words that I cannot find in it, but these are the exception. The vast majority of words that I need are in this dictionary. What more can be said - it is a dictionary, it is functional, and it is a handy size (not pocket size, but fine for carrying in my backpack).

I am learning Polish at a very simple level, and I have to admit I find it hard to speak and evewn harder to spell.

There aren't many good online Polish dictionaries, so I decided to buy one.

This dictionary is nearly 1000 pages long, and as a result has a fairly extensive listing of words and definitions. These definitions have the word type (noun etc), gender and for English words the pronunciation. Unfortunately, they do not provide IPAs or any form of pronunciation guide for Polish words in the defintions. The first few pages of the dictionary, though, provide help on how to pronounce them.

I'd like to see IPAs for both Polish and English words. Otherwise, a good book.
