I am not capable of being truly objective about this title; In Verrine 5 blighted the last year before I took Latin A-level to such an extent... The only lasting impression I took from my study of that speech was that Cicero fancied himself something rotten, and was a bit pompous even by the standards of Roman oratory, whereas it might have been worth getting to know the defendant- not the desired result, I'm sure. However, if classical speech-making is what you're into, this is an excellent work of its type
