I bought this book as a requirement for my University course, but I found it very helpful in the study of everyday language use, such as, "The language of news reporting" or "The language of sports commentary". The book also draws references from experts such as Labov. The final part of the book is very helpful for conducting and planning projects. Overall, very helpful!
