ABOUT THIS BOOK

USER REVIEWS

it's not "cards", it A CARD!
~ Written on Jul 3, 2006. 50 out of 51 users found this review helpful.

I ordered this expecting a plural of something to arrive, instead it was a singular sheet of card with holes punched in the side that clearly looks as though it's designed to be part of a bigger package.

I don't buy books a page at a time, so why sell conjugation cards a sheet at a time? I feel scammed.

Incidentally, the first two 5-star reviews refer to books, and not the product advertised. Buyer beware!

Hardback / Paperback difference.
~ Written on Jun 18, 2006. 23 out of 24 users found this review helpful.

What is billed as the hardback version is 6 sides of A4, plasticised, with examples of conjugation. It has no relation whatsoever to the glowing tributes from the other reviews. It has everything to do with the one star review. I returned the card & am going for the paperback version which I hope is a book with a separate verb on each page. Update: Yes this is the case, the paperback is perfect.

Missing the most common verb!
~ Written on Mar 18, 2006. 32 out of 34 users found this review helpful.

I bought this card and as soon as I tried to use it I discovered that it doesn't deal with the most common verb in the Spanish language, Ser. This is a breathtaking omission and I can't imagine what the author was thinking.

This book has made my studies 10 times easier.
~ Written on Feb 9, 2002. 44 out of 51 users found this review helpful.

I have been studying Spanish for just under two years. The hardest part of Spanish, I find, is those complecated verb conjegations. This book is the answer to my prayers, containing 301 of the most commonly used verbs all fully conjegated. The layout of the book is extremely easy to use, and to find the information you want. The size of the book is very small, but the size of the text is not compramised. An essential for all those serious about learning Spanish.

Invaluable & Extensive Reference Book
~ Written on Apr 14, 1999. 47 out of 54 users found this review helpful.

This superb little book is a pocket-sized version of '501 Spanish Verbs' by the same author. If you are learning Spanish then one of these two books should be in your possession.

In the main part of 'Spanish Verbs' there are 301 commonly used verbs tabulated in all 14 tenses. No need to go searching through text or grammar books. The verbs are in alphabetical order, one to a page and clearly laid out.

In the index there are a further 1000 verbs which use the 301 as their models. This makes the book an extensive reference work. Before the main section there is an introduction which includes a very useful explanation of how the verb tenses are formed and used. Written in a slightly astringent style, the explanations and instructions are concise and to the point, sufficient examples of usage are given. His descriptions of the uses of the imperfect tense are the best I have seen.

Top marks for Dr. Kendris and for all involved in the production and sale of the book - the ridiculously low price makes this publication particularly attractive.
