Basic Signing

Essential book for Level One learners, although it doesn't have as many signs as you might like. Great for starters.

Brilliant!

This is an excellent tool to use when learning BSL. It was one of the first books that I bought and have used it every week. It is laid out in alphabetical order which makes things easy to find and it gives a simple explanation of how to do each sign. When learning BSL most topics use the same sentence structures so only the odd word needs changing about. This book is a really easy way of adding new words into a sentence and building up ur BSL knowledge.

Great learning tool

This book is perfect for first time learners of sign language as the pictures are very clear and the written descriptions help clarify.
It doesn't seem to contain every single word you might need but I've found that using the index is better than searching through the book alphabetically.

I am very pleased with this dictionary - and it is very easy to use. so far it has all the words that I have wanted to look up so I am very pleased with it and would recommend this book to anyone learning/teaching BSL

A great book to use alongside Deaf tuition

A great little find at a great price.
The book is best used alongside tuition with a Deaf Teacher and is great to use out of class as a memory aid. The Dictionary contains many Sign words and all are easy to understand. It would not be easy to teach yourself sign from this book as it doesn't cover Deaf sentence structure and also contains regional sign variations, but like I said I am finding it very useful as a reminder of what was taught in class.
