Pretty decent reference
~ Written on Aug 8, 2009. out of 1 users found this review helpful.

I have this book on my bookshelf, and I've used it as reference once in a while. Not the best in terms of quality, but for basics of what we learn in business school or a quick refresher on some of the concepts not bad. You'll definitely find better stuff with research on internet but it's not bad if you need to quickly check something.

forgotten gift

This item was given as a gift to a friend, who specifically requested it, and expressed great satisfaction on receiving it. Pricing, delivery and product integrity were all satisfactory. My rating it a 4 out of a possible 5 reflects only the fact that I lack first hand experience with the purchased item, and can only reflect the limited information conveyed to me by its recipient.

Great reference tool!

I was an undergraduate business major. I purchased this book 2 years out of college for two reasons. 1) The first was to refresh my memory in Finance, Accounting and Statistics. It was an excellent reference that broke down the information in plain English; not like a boring academic text book.. 2) The second reason was to see if I had interest in pursing an MBA. After reading the book, I felt that I had a better mastery and appreciation of the major business disciplines. I later used the book as a quick reference when pursuing my actual MBA degree. I still refer to it 9 years later. My only criticism is that some of the topics are dated; it could use an 2009 update.

Very concise read. It helped a lot with my MBA test that I took. I give it a Thumbs Up...

Great Business Theory Overview..And a lot cheaper than an MBA!

The last 3 reviewers hit it on the head and I concur with there analysis.....I use this book for reference from time to time.....Has all the concepts and theories of pretty much everything a MBA student would learn...Not major detail...But it gets you going in the right direction for further research....I got this book for 50 cents at a thrift shop and it was well worth the money....Sorta the Wikipedia of MBA in one book...Great buy even at retail price
