Michel Thomas Speak Spanish Language Booster: 2-CD Booster Program (Michel Thomas Speak...)

Thank you so much.. it's hard to find anything other than Pimsleur that teaches so well!

I hadn't tried any of the other Michel Thomas courses before buying this one. I have tried MANY CDs - many - too many - that were simply useless. This is by far the most interesting method. Despite reservations on the accent and audio quality - neither of which detract from the effectiveness - the technique is definitely different from the other approaches which all tend to be similar.
Mr. Thomas helps you understnad the English of the statement you want to translate and helps you move that statement into something more easily translatable. So you end up thinking in English the way you would translate it in spanish. Of course there is no absolute word for word translation all the time, but most of the time, by thinking the spanish way (in english) makes the translatons easier to remember and understand.
I like the gradual building of concepts - it is almost imperceptable, you just follow along what seems to be rambling but after a while you realize there is a very well thought out method to this madness.
It is one of the few CDs that I look forward to listening to.

I find MIchel Thomas's approach to learning a language very easy to understand. and very helpful. This CD is not for someone without any
knowledge of Spanish, but to help those with some knowledge progress.
Owning is gives me the opportunity to use it repeatedly and reinforces
what he teaches.

I started with the Beginner CD set and then moved on to this language booster. I enjoy the style of the Beginner set more, with Michel teaching other people on the recording, but this one is great too. His method is by far the quickest and most fun way to learn a language. I'm hooked.
