I agree totally with the native Italian speaker who complained about the horrible pronunciations of the narrator - and I'm American! Her pronunciations are blatantly wrong, and her constant comments are inane. Don't waste your money being tricked by the name Michel Thomas, whose original works are extremely helpful in learning Italian. This product is completely different from his beginner and advanced CD's and is simply not worth your money or time.

You will learn to say "Michel Thomas" more than learn italian

I feel bad for the women that had to make this on Michel's passing. She had to have been under contract to say his name as much as she does. It boarders on absurd. Most of this CD series you will hear "Remember how Michel Thomas taught this, said that." To tell you the truth, after suffering though this series I wanted to DIVE OFF the ESSERE TOWER. When the narrarator does avoid saying Michel Thomas she is likable. If I were her I'd put out my own series without the obligation to say Michel Thomas...get the picture?

My husband has been studying Italian for a few years now and this MT vocabulary course, edited and presented by Dr. Hayden, is superior!! Dr. Hayden presents very clear explanations and has ensured excellent connection throughout the entire course. We highly recommend this MT's Italian Vocabulary course if you are looking to rapidly increase your command of the Italian language!!

I have just used the first Cd and already I can remember most of it. Yes for sure I will go over it again but on first listen I was very happy with with what I learned.
I would recommend the "Beginner" CD if you have not used Michel Thomas before.
