I purchased this book to use as a guide for students who needed help with industrial-setting report writing. It was a bit more than they needed or could digest at the time. It certainly is a college level text! Since I couldn't easily use it in the work setting I had in mind, I kept it for myself and am glad I did. I particularly have found useful the chapters on the physical preparation of reports, since those are applicable to workbooks, and books and articles as well. The material on research--using email surveys for example--was very helpful and interesting. This is not Report Writing For Dummies! It can be intimidating at first thumb-through. But it is a comprehensive look at an extremely wide variety of writing and presentation situations in business. It would be very helpful for almost any supervisor or manager, or for authors, trainers and teachers. SIMILAR ITEMS:
