Speak and Grow Rich

I was hoping for more, but it does offer some helpful advice. The book's a bit out of date, so I'd suggest finding something published more recently.

Sometimes things happen with orders that are totally out of our control. AND sometimes you come across a business owner that goes way beyond the call of duty to correct the error. Kristie is one in a million and I want to publically thank her for taking care of my situation so promptly and professionally. I wouldn't hesitate to order from her again.

Kristie is also an author and wrote "I Love My Life" about starting a home business. It's a great book if you need the abc's of working from home.

This is a fantastic book on becoming a professional speaker. The title of the first chapter says it all: Welcome to the World of Professional Speaking. This book covers everything you need to know from how to market yourself to fee structure to working with agents and bureaus. Another good book on this subject is The Complete Guide To Public Speaking.

This book is not about how to give a speech or presentation. For ideas on this, consider How to Give Your Best Speech or Presentation Ever: A Step-by-Step Manual for Speaking in Public or 101 Secrets of Highly Effective Speakers, 3rd Edition: Controlling Fear, Commanding Attention.

I read this book a few months ago based on a recommendation from another speaker. It contains some very practical advice that is easy to follow on building a successful public speaking career. I found it to be helpful in setting goals, and laying a solid business foundation. My prayer is to be a financially successful speaker who is able to donate to ministries God aligns me with. Some of the principles in "Speak and Grow Rich" can help me achieve my dream, and yours too! Mary Singer Wick, author of "My Heart's Desire: A Journey Toward Finding Extravagant Love".

Honestly I thought when purchasing this book it would be an ok read. I knew that the title was very catchy but did not expect it to have as much solid content as it does. Speak and Grow Rich goes into a step by step process for any aspiring professional speaker. I am a professional speaker and I learned what many people (with scores less experience than Dottie Walters) are charging $1000 per person to learn. This book is a solid buy.
Add this book to your collection if you are serious about earning income as a speaker. Or purchase Speak and Grow Rich if you have a friend that you know is just breaking into the speaking industry.
