The book is intended to be a beginner's pocket reference and it meets that goal well. It covers the most important topics clearly and concisely. I've had it for a few months now and I've found it to be quite useful although I wish there were more examples. I'm definitely glad I purchased this book and you can't beat the price. The authors really did a great job of getting an incredible amount of information into minimal space.
Shows basic Japanese sentence structure, verb conjugation, useful words and phrases. Nicest part is it's small and easy to pack when travelling.
I haven't had a chance to get through it all yet, but it is easy to understand. I'm only a beginner and this is of great help.
This is my third Japanese language book, and it is by far the best. It gets exactly to the point quickly and clearly. After reading it one afternoon (I already knew hiragana and some kanji) I could start communicating with a few Japanese friends. When I was told there's a little mistake in my sentence (after I asked them if there were any), I pointed it out myself. I would highly recommend this book regardless of price, and for this price it's a no-brainer.
I got this book for my birthday, yeah I love the language. X3 I love it so much! I read it in-between classes, and funny enough even though I've just taken (High school)Latin I & II, I know more Japanese grammar then Latin grammar. So, yes, I HIGHLY recommend this book. It's easy to read, and understand. I give it a five stars! <3 Oh, and the Kana thing, It is a Grammar Book. Not A Grammar Book; so there is no dire need for kana. If you wish to learn Kana, buy another book. If you expect to get the ENTIRE Language in one book, you are very foolish, or have been misinformed. SIMILAR ITEMS:
