The Next Exit, 2009 Edition

This book is quite handy on road trips. I've used this book on two road trips. It's great for finding the best or next exit for food, gas, bathrooms, etc. I found it useful to put flags on the pages for the highways I will be traveling on for quick reference.

A complete and total waste of money.

You have to read every line of every exit to determine if there is something you want or need.
Absolutely no thought given to categories, or to any other way a person might want to find information.

Agree with the trucker who said the pages are cheap.
I would add Ultra Cheap that to that description; worse that a phonebook.

This book is unusable and pointless; no one with a brain would find it helpful.
If it came free with my road trip, I would use it to line the cat box.

Excellent book. No traveler should be without one, particularly RV'ers. Knowing where to get diesel, pet-friendly motels, etc. is great info to have at your fingertips.

THE NEXT EXIT: Could not imagine RV'ing without this book. Tells us exactly which exits have facilities wide enough & high enough for a 5th wheel/RV. This book has saved us many times over since we are on the road several months at a time...we have the '06 issue, but had to get the updated issue because many exits are under going major changes. This book was a life saver and made a lengthy trip enjoyable. We drove from the east coast to Montana and back. This book was so full of useful information. For example, we could look ahead to upcoming exits and decide where we wanted to eat, or gas up, or even stay the night. Of course we could also locate our favorite coffee places as well. I would never consider taking a trip again without the Next Exit.
