EDITORIAL REVIEW

Meet the men who, for decades, have ruled the football terraces. They are the faces behind the biggest firms in football history; behind the rucks, the rules, and the respect. In this groundbreaking book, the men behind the mobs have joined forces to reveal their experiences as key figures in the most notorious terrace fights. From the bovver boys of the sixties and seventies to the football casuals of the eighties, the names central to the biggest firms have all been tracked down and interviewed. They tell their stories in this book.

ABOUT THIS BOOK

USER REVIEWS

Repetitious and unenlightening.

As an American perplexed by the phenomenon of English soccer hooliganism I purchased this book with the expectation that it would shed some light on this violent British subculture. Reading it proved I was wrong. All the authors have done is ask the same identical questions to a number of former hooligans and record their answers. After you have read the first few entries there is no need to continue as all the responses are similiar.

One would have hoped for a better written explanation of the history and possible causes of this aberrant behavior but you won't find it in this book. A waste of money in my opinion.
