ABOUT THIS BOOK

USER REVIEWS

Dull reading
~ Written on Oct 12, 2008. out of users found this review helpful.

This book is boring with sprightly moments. It is a compilation
of articles by long-dead ad-men and women. Mostly the
material is dated.

Claude C. Hopkins has one of the better articles but
it is redundant and doesn't say anything you haven't
read in Scientific Advertising.

If you have read a lot of great advertising and copywriting
books you may find this interesting but you probably
won't learn much from it. I don't think you would be
likely to learn to write a successful direct mail letter
from the "course" of this book - and if you spend your
own money mailing a letter written with the advice herein
you would be a fool to risk it so rashly.
