This reference is invaluable. In addition to containing the usual phonetic cues found in any dictionary, Larousse also has insightful cultural notes pertaining to living in Spanish-speaking countries and the all important listing of regular and irregular verbs. This work is a fine addition to my library and I will have it always.

I needed a great Spanish/English dictionary for my college Spanish course and this one was FANTASTIC! It had just about everything I could have needed for my class.

Keep in mind this book is HUGE so it is not something you would want to carry back and forth to class, but as a desk reference it is the best.

A short time ago, I met a beautiful Hispanic woman who spoke no english. We liked each other at our first meeting. She was intelligent and, through a translator, requested a spanish to english dictionary.
I offered to do the research and after utilizing that amazing software of Amazon that allows you inside their books, I decided on this Larousse version that went both directions.
Immediately after using the book, my lady friend's eyes lit up and she stated this book was muy, muy buen (very, very good)!
In this short time, we can actually hold small conversations without the use of an interpreter.
We do a lot of texting so that she can use the dictionary extensively. That method is working out very well.

very good product, It is not for professional linguitics, but certainly it's very handy to have at home. I'll recommende it .
