What a waste of money and time.

My Favorite Healthy Eating cookbook
~ Written on Sep 5, 2009. 1 out of 1 users found this review helpful.

Great Information on the glycemic index diet, it makes a lot of sense and is not as restrictive as other low carb diets. I am maintaining weight loss eating the GI way.

This book is packed full of recipes for easy dinners, more elaborate dinners, desserts, snacks, etc. I love it! It's my new favorite cookbook and that is a huge endorsement for me. Buy this cookbook for a new old standby for menu planning and healthy eating.

naturally sweet recipes
~ Written on Jul 10, 2009. out of users found this review helpful.

I read through this cookbook the first time and wanted to try like every other recipe. Usually I only find a few I'm interest in. I figured out it was because (like all PCOS patients) I crave sweetness and the recipes tend to have naturally sweet foods included. I wish she'd come out with another book with the same type of foods but all dinners.

I would recommend it to anyone even thinking about gaining knowledge in regards to the glycemic index...

Not for South Beach fans
~ Written on Apr 3, 2009. 10 out of 13 users found this review helpful.

I bought this book from Amazon based on the rave reviews. I should have read the bad reviews first. This book contains a lot of recipes using egg substitute and low fat/non-fat ingredients and then uses white flour, pasta, sugar, raisins, carrots and other ingredients we wouldn't consider "Good Carbs." We were looking for a cookbook using healthy low-glycemic carbs and healthy fats. Unfortunately, they won't be found in this book.

Perhaps this book is aimed at beginners who are trying to move away from carbohydrate addiction.
