 Re: head to the beach
It's not really an idiom -- in this sense "to head" indicates purposeful movement towards a goal. "Stocks head to the beach" means that stocks (I can only guess what the article is about) have set off with the intention of getting to the beach.
Still, I think it would be more usual to say "head towards" or "head for", but the meaning is clear. |
