Default Re: printer's devil

Hello Murli

It means: "He worked as a printer's devil when he was 14 years old, and was a reporter before he was 20 years old."

In the past, a "printer's devil" was an apprentice who mixed ink, etc. in a printing company.

A "reporter" writes news stories for a newspaper.

Does that help?

All the best,
MrP
