It's not really a matter of correctness, Eternal. Certainly, 'my favorite' is the norm, but sometimes 'most' is added to give extra emphasis.
Would we describe it as redundant when someone expresses,
I really really really really love that stuff!
The likelihood that you'd see this type of collocation in writing is much less. These type of expressions are common to speech and speech has its own set of rules.
This Google search shows that it is well established in English.
