The cynical side of me wants to ask how did you get to the 11th grade without a knowledge of basic grammar and punctuation? You'll be taking the SAT this year if you want to go to NYU, and a major portion of your score is English comprehension, grammar and punctuation. It will be nearly impossible to cram six years of instruction into such a short time; your best bet is to get a private tutor who can personally evaluate your strengths and weaknesses and coach you in the areas where you need the most help.
