Hello Shun

Suppose I'm writing a letter to President Bush.

Someone says to me: "Who are you writing to, MrP?"

In your opinion, should I reply:

1. I write a letter to the President of the United States of America.

Or:

2. I'm writing a letter to the President of the United States of America.

MrP
