There's nothing wrong with translation in a monlingual class, but try to keep the students from becoming dependent on it, as this will limit their learning and also encourage them to think that everything can be directly translated. however, is there any point in trying to explain, for example, different kinds of fish when you could just tell them the names? I don't think so. |
