I agree with Mariner that your first sentence has only one object. There are, however, grammars that include prepositional objects as "indirect objects", but I think that is wrong. I prefer this:
Bob threw Jim the ball. (subject-verb-IO-DO)
Bob threw the ball to Jim. (subject-verb- DO- prepositional phrase)
