What does "as diverse as the National Rifle Assn. and the National Organization for Women" mean? I know the National Rifle Assn. and the National Organization for Women are two organizations. But why are they "diverse"? |
They are expressing the belief that these two groups have membership lists and missions that are very different from each other. And they probably do.
