First, thanks for the compliment. :D

Yes, it is a good day for the USA, but it is a better day for the Iraqi people. I am happy that we have caught Saddam Hussein, but my jubilation cannot possibly match that of Iraqis who are tasting freedom for the first time in decades. I cannot possibly know what it is like to live in fear every day of my life. The Iraqi people now have hope that they did not have before. The pictures of Iraqis celebrating in the streets speaks eloquently to the whole world how happy they are to be free.

The twentieth century saw America defeat Nazi Germany and the Japanese Empire. Both Germany and Japan eventually became democracies. Later, we defeated another evil empire (U.S.S.R.), liberating millions of people from oppression.

We now, in the twenty-first century, find ourselves in a war which we did not seek but which we must win. First, we liberated Afghanistan, freeing millions of Afghanis from enslavement and oppression. Later, we liberated Iraq from the grip of a despotic regime. (Saddam was responsible for killing as many as a million Iraqis.) There are those who will say that we are the aggressors. Let them tell that to the Iraqis. (The Iraqi people know better.)

No more torture chambers. No more rape rooms. The Iraqi people are now free to decide their own destiny.

President Bush:
"All of the Iraqis who have taken the side of freedom have taken the winning side."

President Bush (to the Iraqi people):
"You will not have to fear the rule of Saddam Hussein ever again."

Eventually, China will also be free. The Chinese people will one day see to that.

:D
