It depends on how much you want to break the role of the teacher up; how about entertainer? I don't mean that a teacher has to be a comedian, but making the lessons enjoyable is a terribly important part of teachig for me. What about the pastoral care elements? I have always taught adults, so have less to do in this, but when teaching newcomers to the UK, especially asylum seekers, there was a lot of this- helping them adjust to the new society and deal with cultural issues. |
