If my mom was crying, I'd hug her and comfort her, and ask her what was troubling her.
Death in five minutes? I'd do something I'd never done before, something that had always been strictly forbidden. For example, try crack cocaine or ecstasy or some illicit drug. Of course, with only five minutes' notice, I wouldn't have time to locate such drugs, so I'd have to settle for running with scissors, or leaving the refrigerator door open while I drank milk right out of the carton.
