Re: junior high High school. The four years of high school are 9, 10, 11, and 12, known respectively as your freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years. (You can also be called "a freshman," "a sophomore," etc.)
Those same terms also apply to college/university.
In most states, it's legal to stop attending school at 16, but you don't graduate unless you complete 12th grade. Most people aren't considered good job candidates unless they have at least a high school diploma. (There are exceptions, of course.) |
