What do you mean by "sent" there? "Sentence"? In any case, it is definitely correct to include the second "the" there. In fact, that is the way it is probably done in most cases. I would do it myself. The sentence would probably be spoken something like, "He could play the piano and the violin at the age of six."

As Casiopea noted, "bathe by myself" isn't used. Say either bathe myself or take a bath by myself, as Cas indicated.
