Default Combining diacritical marks inline (acute accent)

First, I am a native English speaker, so an explanation in any degree of English complexity is fine.

Please refer to this thread:
http://www.usingenglish.com/forum/ot...llic-font.html

I am trying to insert an acute accent over Cyrillic vowels while composing entries on this forum.

As evidenced from ONE entry on this thread, I WAS able to get the accent over the Cyrillic vowel, but only by doing it in MS Word 2003 and then copying and pasting it into the entry. In MS Word I place my cursor in front of the Cyrillic vowel and type a
301 Alt-x
sequence....the accent then goes above the letter properly. So the Uncode in Hex format is 301.

I do NOt compose HTML code , or maybe I would know how to insert a Unicode tag...I am not sure what the tag is.

I can directly type in Cyrillic characters, but I just cannot directly insert the accent inline. If there is a structure, [tag]body[/tag], that I need to enter, that is fine; I simply need to know the pattern. I have seen a '&#number;' construct, but if that is it, I don't know how to implement it.

If there is a URL somewhere that will help me with doing it in the context of this forum structure (vBulletin), maybe someone could just point me there. I can't seem to Google it.

Thanks for any help.
