Come/go I know that the main difference is the direction, but would it be possible in some situations to use "come" although you are not in the place?

or should it be
When I went to China.....

When the students come to class in the morning, it's only because they know that learning Enlgish is a good idea - not beacuse they want to study.
or should it be
When the student go to school...........
(said when you are outside of the school)
