Is it good to say : I hope I had a car
Is it similar to: I wish I had a car
or it has nothing to do?
That's a very good question. The two verbs are often confused. The verb "wish" is often followed by a subjunctive statement. The verb "hope" usually takes an indicative statment.

"I wish I had a car" expresses a desire for something that is not currently true by placing the verb in the past tense (subjunctive).

"I hope I get a car" expresses a desire for something that might happen in the near or distant future.

The two are obviously closely related, but the forms are quite different. In the first case, the wish is for something to already be true. In the second case, the hope is for something to become true.
