Re: Query regarding salutation/ending a letter The rule is that if you address a letter to a person by name, whether or not you have ever met this person, you end with "Yours sincerely". The content of the letter is irrelevant.
However, if you are sending a letter to a company or similar body, with the salutation Dear sirs but with a line "For the attention of xxxx", the letter will be ended with "Yours faithfully". |
