Re: What do you think Japan? My job is working with suppliers who sell parts to my factory. The japanese way of manufacturing is everywhere and done by everyone, and we even say many japanse words to describe what we are doing. So to me, the japanese have deeply influenced the american manufacturing process, methods, and even the words. For example: "Kaizen" means continuous improvement, and "kanban" means a factory worker uses a card to signal that the line needs more parts. |
