Re: Definition of Feedback Students learn better when they can find out, as soon as possible, whether they are understanding a new topic or not. This means that a teacher should let each student know, individually, on a frequent basis, which areas of study he is doing well on, and which areas he needs to work harder on. This is how a teacher should provide feedback to students. It is unfortunate that many teachers, especially at the university level, feel that a mid-term grade and a final grade are the only feedback a student needs. |
