Tks, actually i think it can mean "The pioneers" or "The Influencer", you know 'coz "point" can be adjective meaning important or major. Am I right?
In AE, a point man can also be a soldier who goes in front of the others to see if there is any danger ahead.

The noun "point" can mean significant idea or main idea, but I haven't ever heard it used as an adjective. I only use it as a noun or verb. "Point man" is a compound noun.

Sometimes it's hard to discuss the meaning of a term without any context.
