Hi, these my two questions, thanks for your help.
1. In American English, what does "properly" mean in this sentence? Does it
mean correctly, or really?
Clerk: Can I help you?
Man: Yes, I bought this briefcase last week, but there's something something with lock,
I can't get it close properly.
Clerk: Let me see, yes, I see what you mean, the lock seems to be jammed or something, I'll give you another one, sorry about that?
2. Does "loved ones" mean ones who you love?
Have a nice day!
