I'm getting the impression that you meant adjectives ending in the suffixes -ful and -less, innit?

Basically, adjectives ending in -ful are in opposition to adjectives ending in -less; the suffix -ful means with/having the qualities of, while -less without/lacking:

careful vs. careless
faithful vs. faithless
hopeful vs. hopeless

It's worth mentioning that not every adjective ending in -ful has an opposite counterpart in an adjective ending in -less, and vice versa:

beautiful, but not beautiless
worthless, but not worthful
