Bosun, you may want to go to Yahoo Movies and link to the critics' reviews. That will give you a sense of the general nature of reviews.
I would not say "the movie is [emotion word]" because it may not have that impression that others have. I would say "I was surprised by..."
On the other hand, if there is something that would be so universal - shock, horror, etc - that everyone who sees it would be likely to have the same reaction, you can use that. |
