As you might have seen in the reply, we have to use our discreation to choose an appropriate preposition which specifies the place'
'in' is used to specify position inside larger areas;
'at' is used specify an exact position in a larger area.
So the appropriate prepositions in the example sentences will be:
I'll wait for at the shopping mall.
I am in the office.
