Thumbs down Banner ads

Hi,
I'm posting this here because your online "contact" feature seems to have a problem recognizing names (at least using Safari on a Mac...).

I don't know if you're too aware about some of banner ads you're running. I'm taking about the "We can predict the name of your perfect lover" ones. These things (and many other similar ones I've seen on other sites) basically lure people into entering mobile phone numbers to get (as here, for example) their "perfect lover's" name by sms. In the (very) small print which appears under the (very) large lettering on the linked pages (and which is practically invisible against the noisy and dark background they use; have a look at ♥ Lover Soul Mates ♥), they inform you that you are signing up for "predictions" at $6.60 each, twice a week, plus a "predictions club entry" of $6.60 weekly... that adds up fast. Sure, there's a way to stop it, if you happen to read that far.

In this regard, here's a phrasal verb you might want to add to your listings - "put one over on..." - because someone is certainly trying to do that with these things. I would have thought a site of your standing would have avoided this kind of crap.

Best regards, and thanks for an otherwise very useful site, but one I will no longer recommend to my younger students.

Ed Miles
