As the bard's brother says, it's more along the lines of casting a line into different parts of the river, giving the fisherman more chance of a trout seeing the fly and biting. It implies not only the usual manner of looking in job adverts, but perhaps letting people who know people know that you're in the market for a job etc. Using as many contacts and avenues as you can. |
