Topic: what I like about UBC

Currently, I am a student at the University of British Columbia in the faculty of Arts. I have attended UBC for three years. I enjoy studying at UBC because the people are very friendly, it offers many clubs and it offers the courses I want.

The students and the professors at UBC are very friendly and polite. When I need help, my professors are very willing to help me. Last time (term?), I had a research paper, and my professor gave me a list of websites and books. He also gave me ideas on how I should write the paper. One time, I dropped all my books on the floor and a student at UBC offered help and picked up all my books for me. I think the students and the professors are very nice.

UBC offers a lot of clubs to join. Last year, I joined the Chinese Student Association. UBC offers more than one hundred clubs. Every year in September, UBC has many shows and activities. For instance, last year the Dancing Club danced in front of the UBC bookstore. The radio station Z95.3 FM sang songs in front of the Student Union Building. UBC is a very active school.

Currently, I am majoring in Asian Studies. Not many Universities offer courses in the field of Asian Studies. For example, Simon Fraser University offers a limited number of Asian Studies courses. UBC offers more courses. I have no problem in registering for courses. I enjoy taking courses in Asian Philosophy.

UBC has a very nice environment. The students and the professors are very friendly. I really enjoy studying at UBC. It is almost like my home.
