Whenever in doubt - call the cavalry or in this case ABA (American Bankers Association). Red, you are correct to a point. England being an entity is encompassed by the greater entity of Britain. English banks are also British banks but the Bank of England is an entity in itself. All that trouble for a couple of pounds?
