How can we divide these words into syllables: climbed, singer, succumbing, hanged, slangy, singable, trendy ??

I don't know whether -ing, -er etc. are separate syllables, just as sing/er, suc/cumb/ing or the previous letter also belongs to them, like sin/ger, suc/cum/bing
