Which of the following sentences is more natural?
1.) I'm very hungry. I haven't eaten all day.
2.) I'm very hungry. I haven't been eating all day.
3.) Our kitchen's a mess. We haven't done cleaning for weeks.
4.) Our kitchen's a mess. We haven't been doing cleaning for weeks.
I would say that (2) and (4) are correct because it refers to the duration (
all day, for weeks)
But the answers of the exercises were (1) and (4). WHY
