#2 is quite all right. What do you think?
1- is the correct response. 2- doesn't work in that context. Note, the progressive tense "stop walking".

EX: Can we stop walking, because I'm starting to get tired right about now."

Consider,

EX: I walk 5 miles a day, and when I hit the four-mile mark, I start to get tired.
