measurement Ml How do you read Ml as in '250Ml' for little milk cartons?
I routinely call our milk distribution company to place an milk order at work twice a week.
And I think I pronounce 4L, 2L, and 1L properly. But when I read down my milk list and hit 500Ml, I say on the phone 'Down to 500 mil-liters'. And the same fashion when I read on to '250Ml'.
The lady who takes my call doesn't seem to have problem understanding me, but I don't think it's the proper way of pronouncing Ml.
Is it 'MILLILITRE', as opposed to 'MIL-LITRE'? And if so, how should I pronounce it? 'MILLILITRE' requires a lot of tongue gymnastic, because of double Ls with I in the middle. I once tried saying 500 millilitre, and I went like, 500 milli - eeter. Oh my...
I will record and include the pronouciation once I get home. Please review it for me and provide corrections. Thank you very much.
