Who is a subject pronoun. It is used as a subject or can be used as a predicate nominative after a linking verb (ex.-The girl is who?).
Whom is an object pronoun. It is used after prepositions (ex.-The book was written by whom?). It can be used as a direct or indirect object (ex.-Whom are you taking to the dance?) |
