Default in the world or all over the world?

Yesterday I posted a question using my company's pc.
But I can't find it now in my pc.
Is it OK to ask the same question again?
I really hope some one will help me.

The question is "Are there any differences between the following sentences?"
(1) Football is the most popular sport in the world.
(2) Football is the most popular sport all over the world.

One of my English teacher told me the sentence (2) is unacceptable.
Is it really so?
Native speakers never say (2)?
